RESUMEN

Frente a la degradación del medio ambiente y a los retos que supone el cambio climático ¿cuál es el papel de las Fuerzas Militares? En este texto se estudiará, en primer lugar, cuál es el marco jurídico aplicable a las Fuerzas Militares para la protección del medio ambiente y, en segundo lugar, qué significa considerar a la Seguridad Climática como un Interés Estratégico para la seguridad y la defensa de la Nación para así mitigar y prevenir las graves afectaciones a la seguridad que pueden ocurrir por el cambio climático.

ABSTRACT

In the face of environmental degradation and the challenges posed by climate change, what is the role of the Military Forces? In this text we will first study the legal framework applicable to the Military Forces for the protection of the environment and, subsequently, what it means to consider Climate Security as a Strategic Interest for the security and defense of the Nation in order to mitigate and prevent the serious effects on security that may occur due to climate change.
